Swedish students are falling behind in class..

In 1995 and in 2008 a test was made called TIMSS. The results on these two tests are frightening because the grades have dropped dramatically. The percentage of swedish student who did not possess a standard level of knowledge in maths nearly doubled from 36 to 71 percent, according to skolverket. in 1995, 6 percent of the people who took the test got the highest score, furthermore, only 1 percent reached the highest score in 2008.

Are we really that bad in school?
Let me put a theory out in the open. I think that in 1995 a lot less people went to high school and read maths because high school was not considered as important as it is today. I also think that because of that more students are attending high school today, and they are lowering the statistics.
